As we move into a new year, we’re reminded that safety, healing, and freedom are not destinations—they are journeys. And every journey begins with a story.
This International Women’s Day 2026, we invite you to experience Her Story, Her Freedom—a powerful photography and storytelling exhibition created by Bash Creative Studio in partnership with Central Women’s Aid.
Kindly Sponsored by JCDecaux.

Her Story, Her Freedom honours the quiet strength, visible scars, and unseen battles of women who have survived domestic abuse and those who walk alongside them. It is a celebration of resilience, healing, and solidarity. Through deeply personal reflections and striking, anonymous portraits, this exhibition creates space for stories that are too often silenced.
Faces are not shown—but voices are. Through shadows, silhouettes, hands, objects, and carefully chosen words, each image reveals the raw realities of abuse and the courage it takes to heal. Words like fragile, strength, fear, rise, and free appear throughout the exhibition—chosen by the participants themselves—capturing both the pain endured and the hope reclaimed.
This project brings together survivors and the people who walk beside them: friends, advocates, sisters, and strangers who became supporters. Each photograph represents a step toward freedom. A moment of truth. A reclaiming of power. Because freedom looks different for every survivor. And every story matters.
This event is more than an exhibition—it’s a shared space for connection, reflection, and collective strength. A place to listen, to witness, and to stand together in support of women’s voices and lived experiences.
👉 Tickets are available now via Eventbrite. Join us in honouring these stories and being part of a community that believes in safety, empowerment, and freedom for all women.
Together, we walk toward freedom.
